Great Proxilva 2004-08-07 5:35

well you did very well here... i always love that technique, i do it with my elbow and upperarm stiff against my body so the camera can't move up/down wards...

this compo removes the speed a bit in my opinion, humble as it is ;D...

Default To Proxilva: No matter how humble you think your opinion is

I have a different opinion about that, Jorrit. When it comes to an eye for artistic moments, I think you're one of the kings on TE, in my opinion, humble as it is, but nevertheless, I mean it, your crits are very welcome, and in this case, I would also like to know what I could have improved. I can tell you, this was my first panning picture ever, it will certainly not be my last. So, please any advice on the matter, would be very welcome.

Hi Jorrit, thanks for your work, I know most of it, it's the 1/3, two thrid rule. Sometimes I forget, and later one, I saw that this main character was more or less in the middle fo the frame, not my intention, but with a subjet like this, yoy can hardly choose. Because I tend to move my camera to fast, I tried to keep the focus fields of the viewfinder ON the subject, to wtihhold myself from going to fast. And then there was this other skater, I definitely wanted him in.
But it would have been easy in theis picture to add some space in front of him.
Thanks for your time and explanation.
I read you got robbed, and threatened with a knife. Scary experience.
Are you OK?
Rinie
