Default Olympus E-500

I just purchased this camera and was wondering what compact flash to buy. I have heard that some older cameras have problems or compatiblity issues with commpact flash cards with greater than 2 gb of memory. I have also heard boot times for the camera may take very long with the large 8 gb cards.

Also, the quality of replacement batteries seem to vary a lot by manufacturer. I would just get the olypus brand replacement but it is three times as expensive as the generics.

Hi I dont know about your camera's compatibility with 8GB cards... i just know mine works very well with my camera and there is no delay or booting time whatsoever... put the camera on and shoot immediately no problem...
