Great nbj 2007-07-28 12:36

hi there phillip,

i rarely saw a more intense and captivating face. wow. don't know what to think about the frame, but i love the portrait.

When you say frame, do you mean my black and white frame itself (don't you like it?), or do you mean the way I have framed the shot, i.e. the tight crop?

oh, sorry for not being more precise; i mean the black and white frame around the picture. i think it is too busy for this portrait. his face is so amazing, and i think it deserves a strong, but more quiet frame. i would probably have framed him just in black.

Fair enough :-) I thought my frames were fairly simple... I guess there's too much text there, is there?

yes! i didn't want to add that to the critizism, but yes, in my opinion also the text interferes with the image.
