Great tyro 2020-04-21 12:43

Hello Will,

I've only tried this "zoom blur" thing a couple of times and on both occasions the results have been pretty disastrous. However, you're obviously more skilled than I and have produced here a very respectable image. I think I was using something like 1/5 second and you have used one second - so that might be part of the answer. On the other hand, you must have a steady one (hand) because I can only really see movement as a result of the zoom effect (and also a little from the motion of the young lady) and I don't see any evidence of what one might call "tremor" or "shakes"!

And it's a very colourful and artistic shot too and very well worth Deux Points!

You take care and stay safe.

Kind Regards,

Default To tyro: Steady hands

Hello John

Tripod! Sorry, I missed that out in the notes. You stay safe too. Hope to see you again one of these days if the lockdown ever finishes.
