Photographer's Note

meeting around the Loumbila dam, Burkina-Faso.

The Loumbila dam is about 15 km north-east of Ouagadougou, on the Kaya road.
It's one of the bigger reservoir in the country and it supplies the capital in water.
Around set a little village which inhabitants live of the fishing and vegetable gardens culture.

Il y a quelque chose de tr鋊 fort dans cette photo, quelque part entre un commentaire 嶮itorial et une r嶧lit� brutale.

J'ai bien lu ta note, mais si ce n'彋ait pas le cas, j'aurais pu m'imaginer des enfants errants dans un lieu industriel � l'abandon, un d廥ert de b彋on. Il s'agit d'un portrait hors du commun, pour lequel le noir et blanc accentue l'aspect urbain.

Hello Yannis,

this one is a real eyecatcher.
Very well composed with the diagonal wall. The boy愀 dark jersey is a good contrast. Furthermore his position at 2 thirds is perfect.

Hello Yannis. Curious boy. Another very interesting black and white photo. Skilful division of the image into different regions. Yes, Burkina Faso is also still on my white list.

Hello Yannis,

The lower position makes the picture extra
exciting. Composition and light management
are good. The B&W makes the picture timeless.
