Ramses II
Temple of Abu Simbel.
I viewed all the photos put here on the subject and I selected this one because no portrait so intimist was again put.
So much sharpness and more than 3000 years of existance, a miracle.
It is necessary to imagine all the same that this head of several tons is in more than 20 metres of the ground at the top of one of four giants just like Ramses II who welcome the visitor of this grand temple. We feel small, small and filled with emotion...

Hi Didier, fantastic shot. Excellent detail and composition. I think it's a little over-exposed (about one stop) but a fabulously strong image. Well done. Regards, Paul.

Encore un très beau détail de ce temple, et tu as raison concernant ce portrait serré, j'aime beaucoup ce cadrage.
