Photographer's Note
This shepherd was moving his herd of horses and sheep as I was enjoying the view from a mountaintop. The villages of Lesotho are still very isolated from the modern world. Most men are either farmers or shepherds. Only a few places have electricity, and even then it's just a solar panel hooked up to batteries. I loved my time in the mountains, for it got me out of the city and into the real Lesotho. I was in Lesotho as an aviation student observing the operations of the Lesotho Flying Doctor Service. A few hours after I took this picture, I caught the flight out of Bobete back to Maseru. The LFDS uses small Cessna 206 aircraft that can handle the wear and tear caused by landing at the small, rough mountains airstrips.

Salut Daniel!
A superb earthy toned image fromm Africa, with excellent sharpness & contrasted lighting. The sheep, shephard, & 2 horses make good centres of interest. Merci pour ce partage!

Très beau moment, on aimerait y être.
Une jolie scène de vie où la simplicité et la sérénité sont présentes.
