Lac Anosy, a photo from Antananarivo, South

Photographer's Note

On the day this picture was taken, when I took a walk down to the Lake with two friends, a riot broke out in the nearby football stadium because a match had been cancelled (after the fans had paid). It was a little scary for a while when they poured out into the streets and we got caught up in it.

Lac Anosy is an artificial lake, built after the First World War, with the angel in the centre to commemorate this. THe large building on the right is a hotel (I forget what it's called), apparently the largest building in Madagascar.

Le grand b漮iment sur la gauche c'est le "Carlton" - ancien "Hilton" de Tana...

J'彋ais aussi � Tana quand il y a eu l'幦eute dont tu parles, assez loin quand-m瘱e mais nous en avons longuement discut� au travail (un coll銶ue 彋ait all� voir le match !).

J'aime bien l'aspect presque "noir et blanc" de cette photo et le jeux des reflets.

Si tu reviens � Madagascar dans les deux ann嶪s � venir passe moi un message !
