Fete de mouton.. The Muslim tradition of sacrifice was on the 31st of December last year. The Moroccans celebrated big. New Years Eve was certainly a secondary activity next to this "fete"

After the sheep are sacrificed their head and feet are burnt on the streets. The entire city of Marrakech was under smoke for the next two days. Really something to see. And if you do come across it ask to take photos. Some people mind having this occasion photographed.

This photo is a bit grim with the head in the bucket and all but it really caught my eye. Sitting there in the middle of the street, blood and rubbish everywhere, waiting to be burnt.
