Came across this young boy playing tag with the waves. On the horizon you can see the Swakopmund Jetty.

At this time of year there is generally a mass-exodus from Windhoek as people make their way to the coast for the summer (Christmas) holidays. Inland temperatures tend to soar at this time of year but the coast almost always guarantees cool weather.The cold Benguela current keeps the Atlantic coast of the Namib Desert cool and rain-free for most of the year, with a thick coastal fog that lends a mysterious edge to the area
