Photographer's Note
During my Tanzania trip I tried to practice a kind of street photography with my iphone. Unfortunately I am not comfortable enough with my canon for taking people photos. Too shy I guess.
I took this photo while turning back from Ngorongoro to Arusha. I did not see any school building or village close by. Probably they are commuting quite a long way for school. Many students in Turkey at some villages are doing the same things as well...

Hello Basak,
such photos should be taken more often and shown to our spoilt european students. How long will these kids have to walk to school or back home?

Hello Barsak
In Australia today, most students expect to be taken to school and brought home again in very large, over-priced, over-sized 4-wheel drive vehicles. They won't walk and they won't ride bikes or take a bus. And at 8.30am and 3.30pm each day there is a 'concours' display of these ridiculous vehicles lined up outside every school! Inside the schools, a large proportion of the students care nothing for their education and have little respect for their teachers or elders.
Anyway, that is just an aside; but it makes one think about how much these Tanzanian youngsters value their education, perhaps walking miles to school every day. Your phone camera captured them well, walking along between the layers of landscape in the foreground and background, and in a nice light. I can understand why you feel uncomfortable waving a large camera around in front of ordinary people in foreign countries.
A very good daily life shot.
Regards,
Andrew

Hello Basak.
A funny picture with this group of schoolgirls with those characteristic uniforms, they put the ethnic touch to the picture, nice background with those dry fields, which give a uniform color.
Very good brightness and sharpness.
Enjoy a great weekend.
Best wishes.
Luis.

Hello Basak...
I love this look into lives very far away and different from my own. Thanks for taking this shot and sharing it with us!
Like you, I am timid when it comes to pointing a camera at strangers, but let me encourage you to try. If you can make eye contact, it is often helpful to raise your eyebrows and glance at your camera as you raise it partially. Most people will smile and nod affirmatively. Occasionally, you'll get a finger wagged for the negative, but people are almost always happy to be in fotos.
And if you keep finding greta scenes like this -- I can't wait to see the results!
Best regards,
Russ

wow, nice daily life shot. Like the school girls going through the area covered with dry grass. Their uniform colour creates nice contrast to the background. Nice light and depth. A very good one. Tfs.

gördüğün üzere hakettiği ilgiyi topluyor. i-phone street fotoların içinde en güzeliydi zaten. özenip çerçeve yapman da iyi olmuş bence.

Hello Basak,
I like to see the students in foreign countries, very often in poor ones, who have very nice traditional colourful school uniforms. They look so beautiful! In Poland the school is often like a catwalk. These girl have nice dresses a bit like salwar kameez, and even the bags are the same. Going long way to school must be hard but they see better future in education. Excellent shot made by iphone. Beautiful everyday life scene.

Emilius
