Photographer's Note
037 / Along the waterfront in Stone Town, Zanzibar
Stone Town was once the most important settlement along the Swahili Coast, famed for its slaves and spices, and its dhow crammed harbour. Today its a far sleepier place, and the once bustling waterfront is a quieter, more evocative place. Its best enjoyed at sunset, when the grand African sun sinks into the brilliantly blue Indian Ocean.
