Photographer's Note
I don't like what I'm seeing
In the world today
Money talks people listen
'Cause everyone's on the make
I'm sick and tired of hearing
You gotta compromise
You'd better do some business
If you wanna survive
I hear the same thing everyday
If you want to get somewhere, you gotta pay the fare
Scratch my back and I'll scratch your back
Scratch my back or I won't play this game with you
(Lyrics-Joan Jett)
A capture from the unforgettable safari [email protected] the Serengeti National Park-Tanzania
The warthog or common warthog is a wild member of the pig family (Suidae) found in grassland, savanna, and woodland in sub-Saharan Africa. The common name comes from the four large, wart-like protrusions found on the head of the warthog, which serve as a fat reserve and are used for defense when males fight. Afrikaans-speaking people call the animal vlakvark, meaning "pig of the plains". (from Wiki)

Hi Basak,
Maybe warthogs are not specially beautiful animals but I found them so nice, specially seeing then on their knees when looking for food. Charming shot and nice note to accompany it. Amusing post.

Hi Basak
Wow, beastly....... Basak,
must be very difficult creature to photograph - you have done it superbly caught in action scratching after mud bath. Indeed he is a master of disguise really camouflaged against that background looking at you, a potentially dangerous animal, predator and beautiful in its ugliness! It's well recorded in his natural habitat. Kudos for making this ugly animal look great! Very well done capture, tfs
Best regards

hello, an interesting use of this nice song. A nice wildlife captured here. Love the clarity of it though I can't love the animal. An excellent one as a photograph. Tfs.

I tried to take photos of this animal in many places I visited in Africa, I was ever so far and the quality of the photo was ever poor. at the end of the trip I found lots of them in a garden of an hotel and other places and got nice images.this one is very funny and beautiful. I liked the golden touch of color too.

Hi Basak
wow, i really learned something new today...had no idea they're used as fat reserves! go figure!
not sure if he's ugly or uniquely interesting or beautiful in his OWN sort of way...perhaps all 3 :)
