Micheweni est une des zones les plus pauvres de l'archipel de Zanzibar. Situ嶪 au Nord de l'螿e de Pemba, elle est aussi une des plus peupl嶪s. En juin 2010, nous y avons inaugur� une nouvelle maternit�. Non pas pour augmenter la d幦ographie, mais pour lutter contre la mortalit� maternelle qui fait tant d'orphelins.
Lors de la c廨幦onie d'inauguration, les jeunes filles des 嶰oles s'彋aient rassembl嶪s pour chanter.

Micheweni is one of the poorest zones of the archipelago of Zanzibar. Located at the North of Pemba island, it is also one of the most populated. In June 2010, we inaugurated a new maternity there. Not to increase demography, but to fight against the maternal death which makes so many orphans. At this time, during the opening ceremony, young girls of the schools were gathered to sing.

Bonjour Bertrand,

j'aime beaucoup ce genre de photos, t幦oins de pays loins avec leurs propres coutumes at traditions.De plus je crois 嶲alement int廨essant le contraste chromatique entre la couleur rose et les autres couleurs fonc嶪s.Dommage pour la jeune fille avec les yeux ferm廥 � l'arri鋨e-plan, mais c'est seulement un d彋ail.

Je n'嶰rirais pas que cette photo est une tuerie, ce qui serait contraire � la mission que vous vous 皻es donn廥... il y a sans doute une mani鋨e moins pu廨ile de faire part de mon admiration. :)

J'aime beaucoup cette photo, o� l'harmonie tient autant � la douceur des couleurs qu'� la d幨icatesse des formes, le geste de la jeune fille en premier plan, qui semble d幯oter un manque d'assurance, venant accentuer cette premi鋨e impression. Un regard de photographe d'une tendresse 憝idente, que nul pourtant ne semble avoir remarqu�, et c'est tant mieux pour la spontan嶯t� des expressions captur嶪s.

Hello Bertrand,
Texture of beautiful color hijab is superbly depicted with a real silky touch. This coral pink is a perfect match for these girls. Fine definition making good use of soft lighting.
You are very fortunate in taking such a good photo. i've met girls wearing the typical clothes in Zanzibar in this May, but they didn't give me OK to photograph.

J'aime beaucoup ces tons qui semblent s'allier sans difficult�. Le l嶲er flou d廨ange quelque peu mais cela reste anecdotique. Joli coup d'oeil.

I keep coming back to this photo because the restricted colour palette makes this a very striking picture. The girls are looking in different directions which is interesting because they are not looking at you. The only minor critism is the small triangular, out of focus shape with the white highlight in the foreground which perhaps could be cloned out.
