Photographer's Note
This is another picture about the new Terminal 3 at Singapore’s Changi Airport. The area shown is on arrivals, just before the immigration counters (not shown in here). The person in the picture was going towards immigration and the exit.
I really liked this vast floor which pattern gave me the idea of a high contrast B&W conversion.
The reason for the empty hall is simple. It was very early in the morning, around 6:15, when I took the shot. I had just arrived from Australia one hour before.
Changi Terminal 3 will expand Singapore Changi Airport's annual capacity by 20 million passengers to 64 million. The project features the new terminal building as well as a new baggage handling facility, an automated people mover connecting the three terminals and 28 new aerobridge gates, of which eight will handle the new generation of large aircraft, the Airbus A380. Changi airport currently serves over 60 airlines that fly to 145 destinations.

Bonjour, cher ami Antonio,

Interesting Antonio,
I was here in March and was impressed by the beauty of this airport and especially the new terminal. Very queit during the day, something complete different than here in Europe were all people walking like ants through the halls. I stayed hours on this airport and normally this is very boring, but i liked it here. Your photo brings me back to early this year.
Choosing for a b&w with those nice patterns looks very good, also with the human element and the escalator on the left...

Excelente enquadramento. Gosto imenso dos reflexos no chão brilhante.
Um abraço, José.

Hey Antonio,
this floor was crying for a picture. I'm glad you took it! The result, especially in B&W is very attractive. The addition of the character gives a great feeling of space and emptiness. I like it!

Hello ANTONIO :)))))))))))))) or may I say Robertttttttto!!!! I really love your appraoch here and that you turned it into b/w, maybe it is almost a must for the great patterns on the floor. Excellent idea to leave the person very petit and in movement, rushing from A to B as we all do when we are at airports, constantly checking for time, gates, toilets, checkpoints, coffee places, late arrivials and what not. It is a world-in-the-world, very special but I am also glad when I can leave again after a while. Amazing how they expand and scary at the same time. Very well crafted photo, I like it a lot. Best regards ... Barbara.

Hello Antonio:
For me it is making unusual in your gallery, but a great artistic quality.
The shades in black and white, together with the composition, highlighting a pleasant effect optical and graphic. The person to walk down the hall, determines dynamism and warmth to the scene.
A great job, no doubt.

Hello Antonio,
I am not great fan of black and white pictures, but your show a very great figuration image, this care for a spectacular image.
Perhaps an advice, places the colour picture in WS as second picture, than can everyone make a choice between black and white and colour.
Very well done, TFS.

Excellent idea using B&W medium because patterns on floor are really creates splendid graphics. I like your well fixed POV too while adding a passenger in hurry and blurry motion. Elevator creates 3D dimensions there. Wonderful, have a nice week end.

ola antonio,
i think you have the most airport instances around here. this one is another appealing one, the repeating paterns are atractive and the shiny surface looks almost fluid (even more with the reflections in the upper right corner).
black and white conversion soothes the mood.

Bonita luz, bonitos brillos y bonitos reflejos. Todo funciona muy bien.
Buen trabajo.

Hi Antonio,
this is a superb mix of graphism and human element. The pattern is so rythmic, well designed for such a place, bustling with life most of the time...and you caught one of its still moments, or almost:), that person going towards exit...also a metaphoric meaning here. Love the way that staircase takes part of the compo, the blurred man, the mystery of this life. And b/W seems evident, great contrast.
