The Bernese Alps (German: Berner Alpen, French: Alpes bernoises, Italian: Alpi bernesi) are a mountain range of the Alps, located in western Switzerland. Although the name suggests that they are located in the Berner Oberland region of the canton of Bern, portions of the Bernese Alps are in the adjacent cantons of Valais, Fribourg and Vaud, the latter being usually named Fribourg Alps and Vaud Alps respectively. The highest mountain in the range, the Finsteraarhorn, is also the highest point in the canton of Bern.

The Rh獼e valley separates them from the Chablais Alps in the west and from the Pennine Alps in the south; the upper Rh獼e valley separates them from the Lepontine Alps to the southeast; the Grimsel Pass and the Aare valley separates them from the Uri Alps in the east, and from the Emmental Alps in the north; their northwestern edge is not well defined, describing a line roughly from Lake Geneva to Lake Thun. The Bernese Alps are drained by the river Aare and its tributary the Saane in the north, the Rh獼e in the south, and the Reuss in the east.from wiki

Hello Piotr,
I really like how the path on the foreground leads us further into the composition. The view is impressive with some gentle green slopes in front of the impressive mountain peaks, some of them with their heads in the clouds. Very well captured.

Hi Piotr,

The path leads my eyes toward the mountains which is creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of the mountains. The cloudy sky does not hurt the colours output. Have a nice day.

Witaj Piotr.

Alpy uchodza za najpiekniejsze gory swiata, choc wcale nie sa az tak wysokie jak w innych rejonach swiata. Mialem okazje sam sie o tym przekonac. Bardzo uroczo wygladajaca przestrzen pomiedzy wzniesieniami, utarty szlak, a jednak takie swobodne uczucie, bez chodzenia sobie po pietach.

Hello Piotr,
This is a splendid view of the gravel road winding downhill towards the lake and further. I like the inclusion of the two persons seen in the distance. There is a fine light despite the dark clouds and the colours show a lot of fine nuances.

Hello Piotr,

Though the view of the distant mountains looks quite foreboding, not because of their incredible height, but because of the dark shadows.
However, your photograph reveals a story, as the intrepid walkers follow the silver, defined path, heading towards mountains.
It reminds me of scenes from 'The Lord of the Rings', the small, innocent Hobbits heading towards Mordor!

Piotr, the picture has a deep visual field. The mountain path allows to approach the lake. It is a wild altitude landscape with no noise, only the wind can be heard here. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Charming high Alpine landscape again. That path enhances perspective. Little ponds further away look very nice too. Clouds look like it might rain too.
