Photographer's Note

Back from a walk in Lyon with Yves who'd come to visit. A classic point of view of the Saint-Jean Cathedral with the old arch acting as a frame. Well, anyhow, classic or not, I'd never taken it, so here it is!

Salut Philippe,

D'abord, merci pour la visite; 蓷 m'a bien plu et ce sera � refaire � l'occasion si l'envi t'en prend. Je me suis rendu compte en visitant mieux ton th鋗e sur Lyon qu'il y a encore plein de possibilit廥 sympas.
Je te proposerais bien de faire de m瘱e sur Grenoble, mais je ne suis pas certain de remplir 1 journ嶪 avec des sujets photos sur la ville; mais l option est possible.

Je posterai plus tard ma version de cette vue; mais la mienne me semble moins bien sur le rendu des couleurs et je n ai pas le piaf en vol.

Hi Philippe
clever use of composition, giving the viewer the sense of a bg and fg image. the cathedral is set back into the scene, with the arch as your gateway i suppose.
beautiful light and sky as well.

Bonjour Philippe,

Classiques ce point de vue et cette composition ? Je veux bien, mais trouve 蓷 tr鋊 bien fait et bien pens�. Bravo.
Les couleurs sont tr鋊 belles, en particulier le bleu du ciel.
Quant � avoir d嶰lench� au moment o� le pigeon volait sous l'arche, c'est le petit plus qui apporte encore davantage d'int廨皻 � l'image.

Hi Philippe,

i agree with SNOOP_Chan, and you should cure the proper positioning of the camera, be well centered would give greater impact to the photo.

Nice Architectural shot captured with excellent framing...like the textures of the architecture & the deep blue sky...

good exposure controlled with nice light management...nice warm color & sharpness...

Hi Philippe. The composition is really excellent. The archway and the church form a harmonious whole. And the flying dove fits perfectly into the picture. Very nice. Rgds, Wolfgang.

Il se trouve que j'ai fait un peu ma m瘱e photo mais la nuit. Ici la lumi鋨e et les pigeons font beaucoup pour donner une prise tr鋊 agr嶧ble.

Un cadrage en conte plong嶪 qui a de l'effet avec l'arche bien plac嶪 pour ajouter un cadre naturel, belle lumi鋨e et petit d彋ail amusant avec ce pigeon.

Hm, it may be classic but I had never seen it so thank you! Marvelous - and the placement of the clouds and the pigeon capture make it unique. I will have to visit Lyon!

Moment I saw this & the Orange cube picture of yours, I knew you & Yves were on a photographic walk together! Wish I could go to Lyon when I visit Paris...but its so far & time so short for me!

Excellnt shot, this, with the framing thru the arch, but the icing on the cake has to be the bird
