I took these picture in the afternoon, the shadow fall nice about the middle of the stroll path.
We see a nice perspective through the choice of the angle

Thousands people enjoy every year of the wonderful area, a lot with bike, walking or with a horse.
A few people would this all want destruct for a canal without purpose.
Flanders has almost no forest, this are the some trees in the region.
Where is it intellect of our government!

There is a question of adapting the channel to push towing to class Vb from Deinze to allow the entire canal to Zeebrugge. This is the current channel to be widened. Additional to the free vertical clearance to be increased to 9.2 m. However, this proposal meets with violent protests, not only from people who live near the canal, but also those who fear that this unique landscape of parallel and intersecting channels will be affected.

Hi John,
A fine study of perspective with this little path leading straight adhead. I like the way you have anchored the path at the lower right corner. I also like the very warm light on the trees. There are some beautiful reflections in the canal to the left, and I get a feeling there is a parallel canal to the right as well, although I惴 not sure.

Hi John.
Your slightly left of centre viewpoint, the lovely shadows and the finely detailed trunks of the trees, make this a delight. And just a hint of reflection in the canal water on the left!
I can't believe that the canal would be effectively destroyed along with these superb trees. Or can I? Trees are being chopped down in my own street just so the builder's trucks can park to unload the materials to build a new ugly apartment block.

It seems to be a very pleasant and lovely place to do all the activities you mentinon in your note!
The picture is truly attractive and beautiful!
The level of sharpness is excellent (I love seeing the textures of the tree trunks and of the grass), exposure is perfect with the best balance between light and shadow, colors are very nice too (with golden tones all over the image)! Excellent dof and a very well chosen pov!
The composiion is simple but quite effective with very inviting visual results!

This is a nicely composed shot with the road leading the eye through the shot. The repeating pattern created by the trees contributes to the sense of direction. The lighting is great with nice play of sun and shadow.

Hallo John,
Prachtige idyllische foto met een heel mooi spel van licht en schaduw.
Ik vind vooral de linkerzijde buitengewoon mooi met de bomenrij aan de overkant van het kanaal en hun perfecte weerspiegeling.

Hi John, We hebben elk een zelfde genre foto geplaatst, zij het in 2 totaal verschillende versies. Het perspectief is er en de diepte ook. Ik heb er alleen een paar bloemen nog bij.
Een heel mooie compositie met een schitteren spel van licht en schaduw. Gefeliciteerd.
Hartelijke groeten uit een grauw en grijs Groot-Hertogdom.
Motgen kom ik richting Vlaanderen voor een bezoek aan een van mijn zonen die in Sint-Lieven-Houtem woont. Maandag ben ik dan dicht in je buurt want ik moet naar IJzendijke. Daarna gaat het terug richting Ardennen en Luxemburg.

Hello John,

It is true you have realised a very interesting serie on vanishing point. You should create a dedicated theme to put them.
I remember the ones in winter on the frozen channel, but in summer it is as well nice.

excellent nature picture,I liked the vanishing point because of its excellent perspective,but the play of light and shadows have also been captured excellently.

A wonderful one! Amazing perspective impression and beautiful colours. A nice play of light and shadows along the path and tree trunks is giving a lovely atmosphere. Excellent control of exposure. It sounds a crime to destroy this landscape with some new infrastructure. The map view is always welcomed too!

Wow, this is gorgeous, John. Most enchanting perspective through this magic wood. Can't understand why there's people interesting in destroying this beauty but I hope they never succeed doing that. Marvellous light and hidden reflections at left, fantastic textures on the trunks.

good capture of a calm place with a great prespective.
The reflection on the side distracts for a while but quickly merges into the overall scene.

A tranquil scene and attractive take of the shadows cast as the irregular height of the ground has produced a wave like effect. The lined trees on both sides
recede progressively to infinity extending the sense of immense depth. A shot blended with such wealth of colours and contrast. Remarkable take, Congrats
