Photographer's Note

On the banks of the Narmada river sprawls the rather disorderly village of Omkareshwar where one of India's 12 famous Jyotirlinga is ensconced in a Siva temple. Morning ablutions are a matter of course here. It's primarily a town for Indian tourists and pilgrims; I saw maybe 5 other Western tourists while there. Elaine said it was a mess this year from construction. Image taken from one of the morning boats on hire for 50 Rupees.

Provia 100 slide scanned with a Canon FS4000US slide scanner and adjusted in CS2: no blurring on the background: this is glass and Provia.
