In the WS, I posted another picture from the beach taken in the same Natural Park

The Arr墎ida Mountain Natural Park houses an area of over 10.000 hectares, in the coast line since Set𠎀al to Sesimbra.

Its calcareous constitution and its ancestral geological formation make of this Mountain a unique example of the primitive Mediterranean vegetation.

The soil type and the natural climate were considered to be one of the best in Portugal for the continuity of some bushes species.

An amazing landscape of a majestic mountain that stoops over a crystalline ocean with a paradisiacal colour.

In Arr墎ida Mountain one comes across the most idyllic places, with beaches and delightful valleys. The perfect combination between the vegetation deep green and the pure blue ocean, all together in Arr墎ida Mountain Natural Park.

Hello Aires,
Excellent photo. Thank goodness for natural parks! Otherwise, I'm sure the developers and clandestinos woul have been very busy! I only saw Arrabida from a distance, from a car and from a plane, but could tell it was very special, particularly in the central and western sections. I'm interested in the orchards shown here. Am I right in assuming that they are outside the park and what are the trees?

Hello Aires, Arrabida (especially Portinho) was one of my favourite places near Setubal where I used to go for swimming. The light is not at its best in this photo, yet the olive tres and green meadows still look beautiful. But I prefer the photo in the workshop where the green meets with the blueness of the ocean.
