Photographer's Note

Şirince is a beautiful hill town only 5 miles east of Sel蓰k, south of Izmir. During the day in the warm, busy tourism months, it's easy to miss that Şirince is a village. But in the morning and evening, when the day-trippers are not around, or at any time out of high season, you'll know at once that Şirince is still a village.
In Şirince dwellings have been built on rocky ground. Housing construction style similar to the other. Stone floors, the upper floors of wood, usually whitewash exteriors. The windows are usually located in the upper floors.
If you don't stay overnight, go to Şirince for a stroll, photography, a bit of cooler air, a lunch or dinner in one of the many small restaurants, sampling the local fruit wines..

İzmir㠙n Sel蓰k il蔒sine bağlı, Ege B闤gesi佋in en şirin yerleşim yeri Şirince bir yama� k騽㥣僡. Yama� dolayısıyla yerleşim yerleri araziye paralel ve kayalık zemin 凴erine kurulmuştur. Konut yapılış tarzları birbirine benzerdir. Zeminleri taş, 媠t katlar ahşap, dış cepheleri genellikle beyaz kire� badanadır. Pencereler genellikle 媠t katlarda yer almaktadır.
Turizm sezonu dışında yada turist otob媠lerinin k騽den ayrıldığı g𤦂batımı saatlerinde orada olma fırsatınız olursa; 蔒şitli şaraplar, 驆ellikle meyve şarapları, zeytin ve zeytinyağı, sabun, kadınların yapmış olduğu 蔒şitli el işleri, doğal bitkiler ve 蓷ylar, taşlarla d�şeli dar sokaklarda, nefis g驆leme kokuları arasında 驆g僡ce gezinti yaparsınız..

It is a beautiful and expressive portrait of the old lady - who is obviously involved in selling the things on display. The colours are soft but the shades and varied colours have been clearly taken.
The light is well managed and there is light from the sides on the face of the lady. This brightens up the face and the clarity reveals the wrinkles and the folds of skin around the neck. Her eyes are clear and questioning. Appreciate the mood of the photograph.

Hello Ayfer,
I like this photo very much. It has a pleasant atmosphere, mainly because of the nice old woman and the things surrounding her, also thanks to the fine light and the mild colours. At first I thought this was from a kind of museum but I understand this is real daily life. It is a very nice composition and a good contribution to TE.

What a lovely picture and a lovely grandma, it much looks like a paint.
Very beautifull shot with suitable color and composition.

a lovely portrait of the lady behind her stall with local products. A quiet scene which fascinates with its naturalness, sharp capture of intriguing details and charming heroine. Depth is superb and lighting handled in an effective and artistic way producing harmonious combinations of colours, eye catching contrasts and an intriguing atmosphere.
