A shot I took along a secluded coast in Wanokaka, Sumba island, whilst enjoying some early morning shooting spree. High tide and bright angled sunlight conditions meant looking for something different, so it was the waves interaction with the shoreline to get my attention.

A great spot for some waves photography.

Setting: 300 mm, 1/250 sec, F22, ISO Raw 200, 0728 hrs

The solitary couple anchor the composition and give us an idea of the size of the waves. I like the inclusion of the strip of warm tinted beach at the top. Lovely play of light across the crashing waves and a great sense of dynamism.

A beautiful view over the waves rolling into the beach. The light was beautiful here and adds such a nice silvery hue to the water. The two silhouettes playing in the distance are very well included as well.

The sea seems to be very turbulent and both men (or children) look so tiny compared to the huge waves.
Good choice of point of view to present us this curving shoreline.
Beautiful silver colour of the water that catches the morning light.

Hello Abmdsudi, the sea is monochrome on my screen, which I like, as it then meets the golden sand, and it is all backed by the dark green vegetation. It all adds up to an interesting picture.
The people appear quite small as they stand on the edge of the water, and the size of the swell is emphasised because of their size.
