While over here in Switzerland the lakes and rivers are starting to overflow (oh yes, it is another VERY rainy weekend), I am in the mood for a good splash of sunny colors.
Pictured here is a close up on the colorful houses in Cape Towns Bo Cap quarter. This lively cape malayan quarter is situated on the slopes of Signal hill and is still the center of the malayan and muslim culture in Cape Town

Hi Daniel,

Well this one is easy...I absolutely love it! :) Big, bright, bold...it's fantastic, and the way you've composed this is simply beautiful. The tight framing enhances the shapes and textures which just "pop" right off of my monitor. I would most definitely say that this would fit anyone's mood for something bright and cheerful! One of the neatest aspects of this shot for me is the distinction between the red colors/shades in the upper left corner. Without doubt, one of my favorites from your gallery! Brilliant! Very vivid colours, and as you say, the perfect way to brighten up a rainy weekend. It looks like these buildings have been recently painted, as the paintwork looks immaculate. A great crop to shop the shapes and colours perfectly.

A visually stunning and passionate warmth of colours even a blind person would be dazzled by it. You have captured this perfectly which is typical of Bo Kaap, the former Malay slaves' quarter I remember very well and being Malay myself I am very proud of this historic place. I hope you are not drowning over there, we have seen the floods on the news and hope you are okay. I can understand why you would want to see sunshine and colour, so this photo works a treat here. I like the tight framing and the clean crisp colours and lines. A very geometric and graphic photo, very artistic.
