Photographer's Note

Rotterdam city's harbour is the largest harbour in Europe. The city was almost completely destroyed during the second world war and has been re-built since the 1950's. It has been a real paradize for architectural creation and a large number of the most creative designers have found there an incredible inspiration for their work. I'm not a big fan of modern builings and of concrete-covered places, but I have to admit that I was impressed getting there for the first time. If you have any kind of allergy to industrial design, you won't probably spend your holidays in Rotterdam (I won't either !), but if you have some occasion, just open your mind and have a look around. It's really impressive and finally very interesting to learn a bit about the history of this city.
