Photographer's Note
Some more spectacularly coloured scenery on the journey from Band-e-Amir to Yakawlang. This type of landscape typifies much of the central area of Afghanistan. River valleys support a ribbon of fertile greenery backed by barren but colourful mountains.

Jonathan
Nice blue sky to emphasize the landscape. Did you use a polarizer, always useful in these situations. The composition works well and the gravel/water leads into the scene well.
Cheers

Hello Jonathan, you have a wonderful landscape, such beautiful colors... and nice representation of the good old primaries. very nice, very clean... of course, I miss the human element, but it is beautiful without as well.

The colors are beautiful and I like the clarity of the image very much. The air quality must be very good over there. The trees and the stream nicely guide you to the hillside. Well done Jonathan!

Hi Jonathan,
Beautiful scenery with superb colours and such a strong contrast between green strip of land and the arid mountains. I like the warm tones of the mountains and the beautiful blue sky. Well done!

Hi Jonathan - I like the contrast in colour between the green vegetation and the yellow/red hills, and then the blue sky. To me this looks similar to the American southwest, like Utah or Arizona. It's amazing what a difference a little water can make. Well done!

Hi Jonathan,
I like this landscape, the colors contrasts very well.
The red mountains seems to be very dry.

Hi Joanathan, Thanks for bringing back your Afghanistan picture. I get to know this country better through your lens. When we see the bare mountains taken from Afghanistan, I was alway wonder that how can people live without water and plants. Here, you have well solved the question puzzled me.
I like this well composed picture with the brook leading the way to the deepth of the valley. Green plants and blue sky are contrasting with the bare warm colored mountains. A beautiful shot.

Hi Jonathan
The wonderful blue sky complements perfectly this fantastic landscape. The colours are indeed spectacular and your compo gives us a good impression of the contrasts between the green vegetation and barren mountains. The river leads the eye into the scene well too.

Another good landscape in this impressive series that you are posting from Afghanistan, Jonathan. It's a change to see some greenery in this barren country. Good framing and sharpness. Cheers . . . David
