Photographer's Note
TRONGSA DZONG is the most impressive Dzong in Bhutan. It commands a superb view of Mangde river valley and now houses the state monastery and the headquarters of the Mangde District.
Trongsa Dzong, built in 1644, used to be the seat of power of the Wangchuck dynasty before it became rulers of Bhutan in 1907. Traditionally the King of Bhutan first becomes the Penlop (governor) of Trongsa before being named Crown Prince and eventually King. Built on a mountain spur high above the gorges of the Mangde Chhu, the dzong controlled east-west trade for centuries. The only road connecting eastern and western Bhutan (the precursor to the modern Lateral Road), passed through the courtyard of the dzong. At the command of the penlop the massive doors could be shut, dividing the country in two.

Hello Andrzej,
Again a beautiful testimony of the life in Bhutan.
I like this scene between this monk and this man in traditional behaviour.

I love the naturalness of the scene, and the detail in the background. I'll overlook the slight tilt, and although I think a grad filter would have been a better choice than a polariser given those weather conditions, I'm gonna give two points. TFS!

Great! I love the mood as the 2 people chat on the wall... it looks natural and I like the dress on both of them. Good idea to capture it.

Hi Andrzej!
Beautiful and relaxed daily life scene, excellent double portrait but also a very interesting architecture photo! Great framing and composition, beautiful colours, despite the misty sky! Congratulations!

Another excellent shot of this majestic temple, I love landscape images, but I love more is when including people. It add more liveliness and human element to the image. especially of the local resident doing their daily thing. this one look like good friend talking and relaxing together. A very endearing scene depicting friendship in this rarely seen country. Very special I must say. Thanks again, Andrzej.
