Photographer's Note
A woman goes ashore after collecting empty tin cans in the floating village off Kampong Chhnang city.
A kilo of cans will bring her about half a dollar, enough for a basic meal...
The same goes for empty glass and plastic bottles, thus preventing another ecological disaster...
************************************

Hi Laurent
A wonderful down to earth kind of image about reality and very appealing to a photographers eye - but at least this trash is making itself into something else to good use and extra cash for her. But sad to see how much garbage we as humans manage to generate. The diagonal compo and position of the canoe is spot on, a cracking wonderful detail and colour a beauty. Great daily life capture with lots more to view. Congrats
Best regards

Nice chosen title, Laurent, not sure it will be in use in future, politically I maen.
Brown water and built town on pickets, poor neighbourhood - but you managed to show it with charm.
Hope this guy is getting good pay for his collection.
Bonne weekend,
Ike

Hello Laurent,
This is an excellent daily life photo telling us a lot about conditions in one of the very poorest parts of the world, also doing this with great colours and light and a good view of the human environment.
Where I live this kind of recycling business has more or less been monopolized by Romanian beggars making as much money in a day as I do in 20 minutes of freelance writing. The globalized world has become very small.
Regards,
Gert

Dobar trenutak snimka, kontrast i perspektiva, lepo pokazano mesto i trenutak.
Limenka po limenka, da se prezivi.
Prijatno vece i mirna noc, sve najbolje za vikend, srecno.

Beautiful view of the woman in the boat with cans ...
Good time recording, contrast and perspective, beautiful place and moment shown.
Cans per can, to survive.
Good evening and peaceful night, all the best for the weekend, good luck.

Bonjour Laurent,

Hello Laurent,
That,s an advantage of the disadvantage, johan Cruyff would say. Recycling out of poverty. Fine photo of the rower in the poor environment.

Hello Laurent - I appreciate this shot very much both for its quality and for the subject! One man's rubbish is another man's treasure and I salute this woman's resourcefulness. A DL scene with a difference and a strong message too.
Bravo

Bonsoir Laurent,

Bonjour Laurent,
Almost not to believe that on these way people must work for one meal.
Your picture is very well taken with the woman in full action.
Also a wonderful panoramic sight in background of village on the water.
Sharpness and clarity make all excellent.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,

Hello Laurent,
The sun has lit this interesting 'floating' village beautifully. I am amazed how well the Cambodians deal with life in these very wet areas. The lady with her boat and cans makes a superb main subject.
A very well composed image - TFS.

Hello Laurent,
Amazing capture from Cambodia taken with perfect pov. Very nice warm light. The message is selfexplanatory; the most dangereous pain of our century, the metal and plastic cans polluting our planet.
TFS and best regards

Salut, Laurent
An apt title with the cola cans and other scrap metal being collected by sampan. A superb daily life scene on the water village on stilts in Cambodia. Good sharpness, colour and saturation. Nice reflections in the muddy water too. Tfs!

Hello Laurent
The text you write is ery nicely explained photo.
Woman makes and environmentally good job and earns himself a meal.
Nice play of light and shadows with fine reflection on the water.
Nice strong colors.
I wondered how the water is dirty but not in our rivers are much cleaner.
Excellent perspective and composition.
Beautiful photos.
Kind regards
Saša
