Photographer's Note
This is an other of the enigmatic faces of King Jayavarman 7 who was the last great builder of the Khmer Empire.
His face appears in two different places:
1: On the Bayon - his state temple
54 towers X 4 faces per tower = 216 faces ...
Bayon is one of the most photographed and visited temples in Angkor, second only to Angkor Wat ...
Good light - either in very early morning or late afternoon. It is also one of the most crowded temples with massive amounts of tourists and groups which can be distracting ...
2. Gate towers of temples/monasteries/cities erected by the above king.
This particular one comes from the second category and sees very few tourists indeed!
The colors are just amazing on this one,and are natural! I just used a polarizer and later adjusted levels of Brightness and contrast ...

I always like these kind of details. This picture has beautiful colours and good DOF and POV, because of the detelis on the right. Nice work.

Hi Dror, this is a really impressive capture of this serene face of the king. I like the PoV here and the very good definition - love all these wheatered stone textures and curves. It's great to examine them here. Y'r pic would have been even more impressive if you had included a tad more of the surroundings, but that's a minor thing. Very good job &
thanx for sharing!

Beautiful perspective. Very good sharpness and clearness, so we can see very well the relief of this face. The colours of the stones are also very well captured. Good work. I wish one day to go there. brgds Dror.

I'm glad to see a photo capturing the different colours of the rocks.Sometimes the colour is lost on film.I don't know if digital is any different.I also like the angle of the face as this one has nice form

Millions of pictures had been taken of this face. The only difference you made is the colors during late hours. And that is your success.
Congratulations!
PS: Last time, I left my comments to you while I was in Hanoi with limited access to internet. That's why I didn't read your reply until today.
Next time when I return, I am sure I would meet you and we map out a plan to stay overnight over the floating village...
Have a good day!
