Lorsqu'il fait noir, l'oeil se repose.
Je marche � petits pas et je tr嶵uche.
Je me dirige aux rayons de lumi鋨e qui percent des ouvertures.
Chaque fen皻re s'ouvre sur la for皻 et offre son spectacle.
Les moines oisifs profitent de ces perchoirs.
Ils 廧ient, ils imaginent, ils regardent le monde.

When it is black, the eye rests.
I walk to small steps and I stumble.
I move to the rays of light which bore openings.
Each window opens on the forest and offers its spectacle.
The idle monks benefit from these perches.
They look around, they imagine, they supervise the world.

that image is a demonstration that to have a great shot the most important things aren't colours, light or amazing landscape, but is the Mood.
that dark image, with few colours and a strong light in the middle, is so easy and at the same time so beautiful.

I like the high contrasts between background and foreground. There is something very dramatic and strong about that dark image.

moi je suis preneur !! c'est le genre de photo que je r瞚e de faire, saisir des instants comme 蓷, l'homme devant la nature. en plus tu respecte la solitude du moine avec tout le recul n嶰essaire. la compo fonctionne superbement pour le propos tenu dans ta note.
c'est tr鋊 tr鋊 beau

This is a beautiful, serene shot of Angkor Wat, with a different feel from all the others I have seen posted here on TE by other members. I love the mood and the lovely landscape to which the monk is stepping out from the pitch dark, with a strong composition to match.

Hi Bertrand. What helps here is how natural this moment is for the monk. He seems completely unaware of you being behind him. The exposure for this must have been a pain with the bright and dark contrast. Good shot Bertrand.

je la trouve magnifiquement construite comme composition avec en plus le bon moment de la contemplation sur la for皻 vierge... Le personnage est super avec son pied en appuis sur la marche, il para褾 suspendu au dessus du paysage dans un moment fig�.. L'encadrement d嶰al� aussi est une excellente id嶪..
Une l嶲鋨e restriction, mais c'est une affaire de go壻, j'aurais d嶵ouch� la partie sombre suffisamment sans perturber la photo pour avoir queques nuances peut 皻re humides du mur.
