One last Cambodian temple - Beng Mealea. Paul (PaulVDV) posted a good details series recently so I'll do it a bit differently.
Beng Mealea isn't part of the temple complexes around Angkor Wat. It is located well away - about 65 Km which is too far for our tuktuk so we hired a car and driver for the day.
My first posting is showing a collage of the scenes as we approached Beng Mealea. The top photo shows a canal just outside the complex; the middle one is of 2 nagas (mythical Hindu semi-divine creatures that are half human and half cobra); and the bottom one is of the first part of the temple that you come to and gives a hint of what is to come inside with the great piles of stone.
