Photographer's Note

Nice shot. Good expressions. Though the composition could have been better. The pillar on the left could have been included more.

Salut Bertrand,
A bientot

1. A note would be usefull ...
- I believe this is Preah Khan and not Banteay Kdey - both temples built by King Jaya the 7th ... as was Ta Prohm - all excellent for catching jungle moods and very good at all times of the day ... when the good light of the morning has left these are the temples to head too ... covered in jungle
you can get excellent photos when other more exposed temples would be "burned" by the harsh light conditions of day time ...
- All the holes you see in the walls: that's were the gold plating was secured...the entire holy of holys was covered with gold tiles...
2. Focus - The immage should be sharpened a bit.
The composition it self is excellent ! As is the light ...
Ashit - that pillar is actually the Stupa situated at the "heart" of this temple ...

The contrast of the hard cold stone to the person in a pose of powerlessness is really interesting here, Bertrand! Nice framing, too.

Super Bertrand,
Bravo.

A lovely image, Bertrand, and quite neglected on the points, LOL! I like the distant view of the monk(?) and the inclusion of the metal object in the foreground.

Hi Bertrand,
I came looking for your old Cambodian images and this where I found this old lady. Yes you are right, its the same lady and in the same place. She is just a year and half older now:)

A lovely and discrete study of a good subject.
The old guy makes a great focus point. Only mius is the slight lack of sharpness which I guess is due to poor lighting conditions?
Tres belle!

Salut Bertrand,
Marc
