Photographer's Note
This is the interior of the kitchen of the main, and quite large, monastery in Litang. This monk was left behind after others whom he was joking, left. It seemed like a good time to get what I wanted.
I didn't do much pp work here, though after sharpening the image overall, I used the sharpen tool selectively around the monk's face, hands and feet, and robes, as these were still a little blurry. Other parts are a tad blurry too, but having them sharp doesn't matter so much - I think.

Hello Andre, This is a wonderful environmental portrait. The light is amazing and I like the monk's robe and other touches of red standing out from the darkness. Sharpness looks fine to me.

Hi andre, Definitely a nice shot. it has remindded me of the weeklong trip in Litang back 3 years ago. I entered this kitchen and had a nice conversation with Lamas who told me the huge black wok behind this lama in the picture was made in the Qing Dynasty, about 3 hundred years ago. there seems to be two big woks in this kitchen if my memory is right.

Bonjour André,
Très beau traitement de ce peu de lumière de la pièce. Félicitations ! La composition est très agréable et chaque élément de l'image est exploré par l'oeil de façon sélective. Vraiment du beau travail. Merci.

Hi Andre,
A great shot, by its light, its composition, its texture and its subject. The light is very well difused, nothing dark, nothing overexposed; it give us a very natural colours and overall it let us almost feel the atmosphere. I like too the space facing us, and the monk's attitude, looking at us. Impressive documentary, and very beautiful. TFS. Regards,

Nice shot and nice composition. I like the work you made here with difficult light condition. The image is well balanced and attractive with the red clothes of the monk ´catching the eye.
Thanks for sharing!

Nice composition, great exposure, nice colors.
The funny thing is that I have a feeling as if the monk is too small compared to the rest of what we can see, like the log he is sitting on, the fireplace with the pots, the wall with the opening behind him or the wooden pillar behind him.
