Oh..Mommy!...., a photo from Shanghai, East

Photographer's Note

Yu Yuan Garden, old city in Shanghai...Outside the famous tea house during the middle of a busy day...So much photographed by tourists.. Nothing much natural here...I was trying to ward off the peddlers trying hard to peddle watches, Pens & DVDs. I was thinking uninterestingly, what could be worth shooting here..so full of artificial life...
Then I was proved wrong,as this scene unfolded before me as I sat there watching.
She is a one of the peddlers who tried her best selling her bits of watches & pens...Might not be a successful day for her. After a tiring day she drops down to relax with her baby & the baby was so happy with the private time she got from her mother...
Just two of them lost in their private world in the middle of tourist cacophony all around!...

The baby holding her mom as close as he can...and the lovely smile...PERFECT in catching such a golden moment from life.
Thoughtfull mother and a lovely child..

Nice shot, it certainly carries a lot of emotion and tenderness.

Your other critics have summed the situation up perfectly, a golden moment, thoughtful mother, lovely child, touching scene, and feelings are important. This is exactly what I see here.

My suggestion would be to hone in on all this emotion and crop it right back to just the too characters and eliminating everything else. I will do a quick workshop to show you what I mean.

It's a precious moment, and you saw it and you capured it, well done.

A very pleasant cozy scene Prem to see how the baby is intensively hugging mother after she came back :), nicely seen and isolated from the OOF background area.

The moment is really precious and wonderful, a bit moving too, the baby seems even to try to comfort her mother - I feel rather sorry for her, she seems to have a hard life and I hope that she'll find time for her child !
Technically, the sharpness is so perfect, I'd love to touch the soft, velvetty little hands and arms of the child...
