Photographer's Note

From my 2017 China trip - one of the few long distance trips without my bike - I only posted 15 photo's. I gues I was not very active on TE in that time.
Here a new start.
In the Hutongs of Beijing, the old part of the city center that still exist, a family is gathering at a photograpehers shop.

Hello Gerrit,
I was very happy to find a room in a hotel in a traditional hutong in Beijing. It made my stay in the city much more fun. This is a delightful view a daily life and a photo full of people and interesting details.

Hello Gerrit,

These sort of shots are always interesting; so many details to quietly observe without the fear of the main characters scowling at us! You have captured so much in a relatively small space!
I wonder what is attracting their attention.
There doesn't seem to be the smartening and preening that might be expected to take place before a photo session!
The humour is the figure at the back!
Such close observation ... I wonder if she is short sighted!

Een familie voor de fotograaf, misschien een familie foto was dan voor u ook gewenst.
Maar ik weet niet of u daar goed,terecht kan in het Engels
Want de taal van de streek zal wel heel moeilijk zijn

Een goede foto van deze familie voor de winkel, die vrij donker is, waardoor de mensen extra goed uitkomen op de foto. Ze vormen een mooie mix met de mensen op de grote voorbeeldfoto's in de etalage.

Hello Gerrit, It is now a good opportunity to look for the archive pictures. An interesting scene at hutong. Do these hutongs still exist? Many of them were demolished before the Olympic Games. I stayed in a real hutong house when I was in Beijing. It was a very interesting experience. Nice mix of real and photos.
