Photographer's Note
This picture was taken on a recent trip to Kham, the ethnically Tibetan areas now in Yunnan and Sichuan Provinces. Zhongdian (Gyeltang in Tibetan) is a smallish town that has recently been put on the tourist map by being named the location of the fabled "Shangri-La." These mani stones and prayer flags are part of a small stupa (Tib. Chorten) near the main monastery in Zhongdian.
