View inside cathedral on the WS
-------------------------------
Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, literally "the Cathedral of the Living Pillar") is an Orthodox cathedral temple located in the historic city of Mtskheta, Georgia, 20 km northwest of the nation's capital, Tbilisi.
It is known for being the place where the Seamless Robe of Our Lord Jesus Christ was deposited, which gave the temple primacy over the Georgian churches. Today it remains one of the most revered places of worship and the seat of the Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi, who is at the same time the Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia.
The current cathedral was built in the 11th century by the architect Arsukisde, although the population in which it is found dates from the beginning of the 4th century, and is surrounded by a series of legends mainly associated with the first Christians who occupied the area.
It is the second largest church in the country, after the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Tbilisi, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with other historical monuments in Mtskheta.

Hello Luis,
This photo has superb light and colours and is well composed from this side where the church's walls are placed on two diagonals. The branches of a tree cover what would have been empty sky, and a number of visitors fill the ground. The red and golden cross is an eye-catching element on the nearest wall.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Luis,
You captured the cathedral from a good angle, which also added a nice play of light and shadows thanks to a good and clear sidelight. The trees is a good addition to the right hand side.

Hola Luis,
I just love this style of the architecture, so characteristic for this region only. I would love to see it someday. I hope the war in Ukraine stops soon but in the worst case it could also escalate to Georgia which has some unfinished business with Russia who took some of its territory.
Beautiful church and captured from an optimal angle and at such an amazing weather -the blue sky makes a great differemce for the overall reception of this scene. People add some more life and color here.
Excellent work,
M

Hi Luis
You have a brill daylight and rich colour in this, directing focus of attention to the imposing church. Good well exposed capture and lots of subtle detail to take. Excellent shot.
Best wishes

Hola Luis,
Cathedrals, monasteries and churchs were probably the main attractions in your Georgia visit.
Picture is clear and distinct as each one in your gallery.
Buenas tardes,
Ike
