Photographer's Note
Road to Darjeeling - II : This is another shot of the Road to Darjeeling taken near Castleton Tea Factory at the approach of Kursoeng Town on Pakhabari Road.In the background you can see the famous TV tower of Kurseong .The town is situated at an altitude of 1458 mts (4860ft.) and it is 51 km from Siliguri and 30 km from Darjeeling. The word Kurseong means – the place of White Orchid. Because of its lower elevation, Kurseong enjoys milder and very healthy climate throughout the year.

The worker were probably wondering about the tourist who taken them in camera, Farhat, so far with just an inquisitive friendly look.
The high road offer a marvelous landscap to see, and I reckon many communication towers along.
The lory with the orange cover contrast well onto the grey & green environment.
Adventure's photo well collected.
Have a nice weekend,

Hi Farhat,
A very captivating scene from around the countryside in Darjeeling .love the way these roads with the buildings along the side seem to cling to the edge of the mountain. Like the casualness of the men in the frame and the depth you have achieved in the shot, the mist covered mountains in the background are magical.
Have a good weekend.

Arthur.

Hi Farhat,
Love these perspectives through the eyes of a local, you've taken us along for the ride and given the pictures a personal touch in doing so. The small group of men appear quite curious to what you're doing, you definitely caught their attention. There's a contrast of elements here which is subtle, but interesting. The clouds in the distance would suggest perhaps some stormy weather, but everything else appears well lit by sunshine. Well detailed, sharp focus, and presented with facts. Nicely done in showing us more of the journey. Have a great day ahead. Take good care.
Friendly regards,
Jason

Pleasing everyday scene on the road to Darjeeling, where India doesn't look like India indeed. The stormy sky contrast with the sunny street below and the orange truck acts as a good anchor point to hold the composition together.
have a great sunday

Salam Farhat.A desirable place where to live or spend one's holidays. I notice quite a bit of soil erosion on the right. Hopefully there are strict regulations as to where to build or clear the land from trees. Nice to see a hint of sunshine lighting up the houses. regards. Klaudio.

Hi Farhat,
There is a certain charm that this place shares with villages along the Black Sea in Turkey. It is interesting that the eastern Black Sea region is famous for its tea in Turkey - maybe it's the combination of the mountains and the flora plus the simplicity of life that these two regions share that looking at this photo reminds me of the Black Sea region.

Hello Ferhat,
In the United States, Darjeeling is especially known for its tea. In 2010, I visited New Delhi and Chandigarh, but I imagine this is somewhat west of Chandigarh. I love the brilliant orange, and as a highlight, the green shirt of one of the men serving as a counterpoint.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Farhat.
Nice perspective of this road surrounded by buildings on one side, but with a fabulous mountain scenery, on the right side despite the fog covering the background, my attention these large structures on houses, not is if some kind of antennas or wave receivers.
Good management of light and sharpness.
Well done.
Have a good day.
Best wishes.

Hello Farhat,
this picture is very interesting because it shows a view of a remote and, perhaps, rarely visited town, a little lower than the clouds. The inhabitants are intrigued by your attention. The natural environment must be lovely but the view of the town is not very attractive. I guess there are similar sceneries in other parts of the world, in some parts of Greece too. Your picture has great clarity and very effective lighting. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,
Ourania

Hi Farhat,
The orange tarpaulin and truck chassis contrast superbly against the cooler hues of blue grey in the sky to give a superb warm vs cold color contrast. The sharpness is impeccable and the narrow sides of the road add good lea in lines and perspective. Tfs!

Hi Farhat,
The length of the street is giving depth to the scene. The presence of the poeple is giving life to the picture. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the facade of the buildings. Have a nice day.

A lot of colourful details increase the pleasure of watching this photo, although actually the scenery provides pleasure enough on its own. There is a very nice balance to the composition and a fascinating light under the monsoon clouds.

Hello Farhat - India is a county have never had the pleasure of visiting and this is an area I would love to see. I guess because the hill-stations hold a particular colonial mystic for me... probably not politically correct to say so and I mean no disrespect at all but I cannot imagine a little slice of England up in the mountains! This shot remind me a little of the hill-station area of Sri Lanka. Misty mountains form a contextual back cloth for this interesting DL shot. Warm regards rosemary

Hello Farhat,
You're capturing well this place by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's impressive to see the buildings which standing on both side of the winding road and misty mountain in the distance. It's also impressive the TV tower and electric wire. And, it's interesting to hear that here is healthy climate throughout the year in spite of the highland.
Kind regards,
