Photographer's Note
Everyday in Paharaganj, in Delhi, all of life goes by. Typical Indian street, could be in any city of India.

Hi gloria, what did you smoke? see an elephant? why not a satellite? or Bush under a burka?? lol i'd prefer that in fact...lol;-))
why is there a slight blur on the image? was your lens dirty? or kids putting their fingerprints on it? anyway ,in spite of the overexposure, it is a nice scene of daily life as you put in your note... Where is this quarter of dehli?

Hi Gloria,
nice to see a new post from you. Well, I've have to agree with eleparc, my eyes wondering chaotically around in the image but an elephant didn't pop up. ;-)
Nice shot. This street looks simply great with all these line, wires, signs and people (and elephants?; sorry).
I like it a lot.

Quite a street scene and very nice seen putting opticiens .... police ... on the same business level in a crowded view that can be seen almost in every city likewise, organic chaotic becoming fuzzy through all the noise. I admit I am not on that level yet to present the reality as it is using all tools to evocate this reality even by blurry glowy means to emphase this crazy-making intens noisy steet scene. You stay always to the essence of Indian life as you become one with it in contradiction to your name you are far beyond window tourisme ! Well done and I admire that you dare to show it like it is, no lie !

Nice to see you're still hanging in there, and doing your thing :-)
Busy and interesting street scene, with all the life swarming by. Try as I might, I can't see the elephants in there... See you.

I read the discussions you had with the folks on the photo selection - and I have to say blurry or not, for me this is still a fascinating account of a daily life so totally different to what western Europeans are used to. A lot of details and items to keep the viewer busy and engaged. Well done, Gloria, take care.

Funnily enough I did see the elephant but now it seems to have gone! Classic Paharganj shot - the light coloured wall on the centre right of the picture is next to where a hotel blew-up/fell down/got bombed back in 2001!

You are one of the few photographers that we can learn something from real daily life in India. With your photos we got a real good impression what we can expect when we would go there.
Far more informative in the spirit of TE you outlevel so many stocked into some kind of studio-photographie.

you have to go there to know what that street is like. really nowhere else quite the same, I mean, with tourists and cows getting perfectly along.
