Photographer's Note

Enroute our trek to Amarnath. On the first day by the banks of the Lake Seshnag around 12000 ft from sea level, where, according to hindu mythology lord Shiva forsook the snakes around his neck. He decided to leave his son Ganesh at Mahagunas Parvat (Mahaganesh Hill) the highest point during the trek (14000ft) 4 km from Seshnag. At Panchtarni, another 6 km, Shiva left behind the Panchabhoota (Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Sky), which together make a living being. Finally, he entered the holy Amarnath Cave along with Parvati where Shiva narrated the Amar Katha, the secret of immortality, to Parvati, his consort, the graceful daughter of the Himalaya. This is a huge lake and the picture is being capture in 3 steps and then joined in photoshop.
