Pangong Tso

Hello everybody

I captured this image in the 1st week of July, 2012. The Pangong Tso (lake) is highest lake situated approximate 14,270 ft in the Himalayas. It is the highest salt water lake in the world. The lake extends from India to China and complete freezes in winter. We arrived at lake after 7 hours drive from Leh. The significant of this lake is always changing its water colour. Unimaginable beauty.

impressive the texture of those clouds and the sense of violent winds crossing this zone. the texture of the waters in the BG and these details of the landscape are fantastic. TFS.

Hello Swapan,
A most surprising place and altitude, and a lake is what I did not know exist on such height.
Marvelous picture division, water land and sky - just by the book...
Fine mild HDR (?), beautiful landscape, no trees - yet with beautiful clouds alofty.

One of the numerous jewels of Ladakh, it is situated very high and most of its surface area is in Tibet (China), I've rated all your pictures, I'm waiting for new ones Swapan

Hi Swapan,

The scenery is impressive. The length of the lake is creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of the moutains and of the clouds. The light is giving good colors rendering. Have a nice day.
