Photographer's Note
I saw this young boy at the fishing village of Muthialapalem near Vizag, Andhra Pradesh, India, leaning on a fishing boat. He saw me approach, and I think enjoyed being photographed.

Hello Satya,
this is an excellent photo, an intriguing portrait in a fascinating and meaningful environment. I like very much the little boy's intense gaze, I think that by assuming this gaze and posture, he is trying to look older and tough. I like the perspective of the boat that offers the little boy support. The sense of depth is excellent, the details, the textures and the agitated sea provide a marvelous context. The colours have been rendered superbly, they are muted and soft not allowing any other element compete with the boy's gaze for attention. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great week,
Ourania

Hello Satya,
I'm sure he enjoyed being photographed but he is demonstrating the brooding, questioning attitude of youth!
This is a very well composed shot, with the boat leading out into the space and the focal figure strongly positioned. The textures of the boat and the reflections in the wet sand are very attractive details.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Namaste Satya
Looks like the lone weather beaten sea but sea-worthiness traditional fishing boat is at rest temporarily before venturing out the sea again. One that is difficult to ignore as this craft is so photogenic actually despite the conditions. The vibrant colors add up to express a sense of mood and mission, love the angle of this comp and the curious boy makes it work for me and it works really well and takes the eyes to the open sea. Combination of pleasing exposure and colours are wonderful. The boy is there to complement this shot beautifully as a strong pointer. Superb foto work, Congrats
Ps: In Wshop; added slight tonal contrast and colour sat, adds clarity to the boy's face. Hopefully it's acceptable to you - Cheers
Best regards

Hello Satya
This is a lovely environmental portrait, slightly spoilt for me by the flat lighting and lack of highlights. But I see that Abmdsudi has already pointed that out. The composition however is excellent, as are the muted tones, particularly on the old boat.

Hello Satya,
This is an excellent photo. I really like the look of the boy and the way he is leaning on the boat and placing his feet. He probably enjoys being photographed, as you suggest, but being a very young man he is more anxious to look a bit tough and sullen. The boat is nicely battered, with fine faded colours, and the waves provide a fine background.
I agree with the WS made by Abmdsudi. I was inclined to make a similar one, but you only need his. Very simple adjustments can make a lot of difference to a photo.
Kind regards,
Gert

Bonjour Satya,
Le jeune homme prend très bien la pose dans cette composition. De plus il prend le regard de la vedette bien appuyé sur sa barque qui pointe dans la bonne direction.
Amicalement

Hi Satya, This is a very good photo with excellent composition. The way the boy looked at you and the way he was leaning on the boat.......something was happening in his mind. Excellent POV and the inclusion of the waves just perfect for the moment. Well balance of light and tones with great details. Thank for sharing

Hello Satya,
you seem to have the happy knack of being able to include children in your photographs, they do add so much interest and charm to a shot, here the boat on it`s own is a nice subject but it`s the boys pensive gaze that lifts the picture into something special.Well done.
Warm regards Les.

Hi Satya
He has a very intense gaze at your camera, he looks like he is intrigued by you capturing his image. This is an excellent portrait shot, his position in the frame thoughtfully consider and ll executed for a semi candid image like this, not easy to do. You have a great skill for this documentary style shots, always a pleasure for me to learn from your posts.
Best wishes

Hi Satya, I remember that when I was in India, the people liked to be photographed, posed for me with pleasure but then made always very serious faces, without smiles. I had to put faces myself to make them smiling. This boy has also pensive look. He should rather go to school but probably must earn some money to help the family. And this boat looks old, is it safe?
Very pleasant composition.

Hello Satya
I like the image and I like the look the boy gives you. The boat is well aligned in the frame and leads us into the picture...The colour of the boat, especially the yellow breaks the blue tones...
Well done!
