The Roadside View : This is a typical roadside view of a busy Calcutta street.In this image which was captured near Strand Road, you can observe a couple on a stranded Motorbike.The elderly guy,presumably the father of the pillion rider lady,halts to have a look at his mobile phone.It is nice to see him following traffic rules.There is an old mini-bus in the background filled with passengers bound for Howrah Station.Among other observable aspects,you can see the Brabourne Road Flyover behind the Mini-bus and moving towards Dalhousie area of Central Calcutta.

Hello Farhat,

A nice daily life picture with the bus, but also the man in foreground with his iPhone busy middle of the traffic.
Also a very nice angle with a fantastic panorama view about the area.
Composition and presentation are excellent.

I guess I have been in this area but I honestly don't recognize anything but the addresses you mention. It is, as you say, a very typical view from a Calcutta street, which is the main reason why I like this photo. It is a glimpse of daily life and several stories could be imagined from a closer study of these people and the vehicles. It's a nice shot with fine colours and an interesting note.

An image captured at the opportune moment and perfectly exposed. Superb colours and clarity. Even on the busy streets of Calcutta people cannot bear to be parted from their smartphones:-)

I love the busy urban sense to this view and I have to laugh at your comment on the man with the phone .They have stayed running television ads here in orkadeia on the dangers of phones while driving and they are really terrifying. I love the wealth of colour in the bus which really lifts the whole scene

A superb daily life scene of the traffic in Calcutta (Kolkata) with the strong diagonal lines converging towards the top right adding good perspective. The man on the bike fidgeting with his phone or camera has prominence. The colorful packed minibus in red and yellow with blue text is eyecatching. Tfs!
