Photographer's Note
It is commom in India to have a idol of God at the entrance of the house, flowers are offered and diya is lit daily as a prayer for the God to protect the house and bring good luck. Usually idol of 'Ganpati' is kept at the entrance of the house.

i love these kinds of compositions Ashit, and this is definitely one of them. maybe i would just increase the saturation a little bit and that would be it.. (my personel taste of course!) i like this one a lot.

This is excellent Ashit, keeping the guy in the left side while Ganesh in the other side..the frame of the door made a perfect divider in this composition.. nice one again.

very nice composition Ashit.. But I am sure you know like it..
This one doesn't seem to be Ganpati, or am I mistaken?
The contrasty versuion might actullay be better.

yes, common in our country. nice photo and well composed.
i am curious about the idol. can you explain? i am not finding resemblence to known forms. this is surely a local artform depicting a known idol.

Hi Ashit: Good one because of the possition of both the man and the God, also de colour of the shirt works wonderful with the one of the house/temple. Great compo too. Congratulations.

I always find those God altars intringuing because some have really strange shapes and colors.
I like this image a lot, with the contrast between the colorful shirt on the left and the wall and the stone wall.
good looking man too. ; )

I prefer this version for the natural skin color, a combination with the two is also a possibility. A good subject and nicely framed Ashit. I the south you see a lot of kolams.

Fantastic candid portrait of a daily scene. The composition is wonderful with the door frame and the frame for the idol creating a rpeating pattern as well as a strong diagonal. Well done.
