Hooghly by the Evening : It is always refreshing to visit the riverfront of the Hooghly in the evening to get some fresh air and some really nice snacks including Paw Bhaaji.Across the river you can see the twon of Howrah.You can see some colorful boats parked near the banks and ready to take take visitors on joyride in the river.

Salam Farhat.So this is the famous Hooghly River. I just saw Rick Stein's India series where he sampled some of the local food along the river.Not sure which town.Pleasant composition with lovely light. Regards. Klaudio.

These kind of shots never get old even if we see it a hundred times. I love the soft yet warm evening lights on the Ganges and on the horizon. I like the composition as well with these colorful boats making a good FG. Well taken.

An attractive and beautifully lit scene with an appealing evening atmosphere. I like the light and understated tones. There is much to see and hold the interest with the little boat almost at the midpoint making a very good focal point.

The distance between the two shores is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the boats. The evening light is giving nice colors to the sky. Have a nice day.

Hello Farhat,
This is like a combination of rural and urban India. Traces of the big city are seen across the river, whereas the colourful traditional boats waiting at the shore could have been anywhere in the countryside. The colours and light of sunset are very beautiful.

You're capturing well this place by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the wide/calm Ganges and some tasteful boats anchored to the river bank. And, it's also impressive in languid atmosphere in evening.

River scenery collected superbly, Farhat.
Boats anchored and the vesseled sailed gave extra dynamic scale to the whole.
You mentioned those boat along the bank are for tourists - and look a bit strange to me, as no seats seem on them.
Anyway, nice taken on early evening, light and clarity were super.

I like very much this composition and the way you juxtaposed the two banks, giving a large part of the frame to the wide river.
