Photographer's Note

The market is behind the Dal Lake in Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir). It starts very early morning. So we hired a sikara (boat. The entire market activity is on the water. Local farmers are coming with sikara to sell their commodities like vegetables, fruits and seasonal flowers.

Hi Swapan,
Fantastic shot, so full of life and color and liveliness, I have never seen a photo like this before. You have achieved perfect depth so that each and every character in your shot is clear and in focus, this could not have been easy to do in this scene. Colors, light, clarity and subject are all wonderful. Really nice photo, thanks for sharing.

Vibrant scene of the floating market, well taken picture from the POV chosen, Swapan.
All people seem to converse with their colleagues, exchanging knowledge about veg.'s prices...
Impressive sight, I could have set there for hours taking pictures.
