Photographer's Note
Diskit Monastery also known as Deskit Gompa or Diskit Gompa is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery (gompa) in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh, northern India.
It belongs to the Gelugpa (Yellow Hat) sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It was founded in the 14th century.
From this distant POV, we can see the Gompa precariously perched on the edge of the barren mountain slope.

Hi Angshu,
nice the view of this fascinating area of Diskit, with the brilliant light to enhance the vivid colours as the contrast between them. Diskit Monastery dominating the scene on the left,as the contrast of the lighted and shodowed areas of the mountain.

Hi Angshuman,
The height of the mountains is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and the colors of the mountains. The quality of the light is bringing out the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

Bonjour Angshuman,
J'aime beaucoup cette composition. J'aime le jeu des ombres créées par les nuages. Le terrain semble bien rude et tu as beaucoup de mérite à t'y être rendu.

Hello Angelsy,
Strangely I didn't notice the monastery at first glance, probably because I was so fascinated by the immense, barren, rough mountainsides. Really, the buidlings almost look like strangely shaped rocks being natural parts of the mountain. This is an overwhelming view, one of many you have shown us, and I realize you must have gone through some hardship to visit all these distant places. Probably the hardship of the monks living in these places is a lot worse, but I guess that is the purpose. You have captured the wonderful clear light and colours very well.
Kind regards,
Gert

Wow, what an incredible scale by looking at the tiny Gompa and the dwellings, indeed an extensive wide view of rugged landscape with mass of detail and textures seen from this vantage point. Gorgeous colours, contrast to blue sky with nice shades and shadows lend this to so such an awesome capture with lovely touch of whites to finishes off so smoothly. Simply gorgeous image and a pleasure to behold. Fabs, TFS
Eid Mubarak!

Hello, What a view! Fantastic composition with the gompa so tiny in this bare space. Gorgeous view of the summits. Whereever you go, they you return here to your beloved Ladakh.

Hi Angshuman,
I was just going through my old photo from Nepal. this image just take me back there. I know it is not really the same and I wish to one day have the chance to see this part of India. So many place to little time and money. This is fantastic with the clarity of the view and I can feel the thin air.

Hi Angshu,
Impressive view. The gompa almost goes unnoticed in the corner, but once we "discover" it we understand that the compo makes much sense, it's like a visual metaphor of the insignificance of man works in front of those magnificent mountains. I like the "power lines" of the image and that big dark shadow. Cheers, José.

Hi Angshu,
I love the little hillside village in the bottom left of this image. The snow capped peaks of the Himalayas top right add a counterbalancing focal point to the town. Nice warm vs cold colour contrasts between the sunlit yellow red mountainside and the blue sky. The cloud shadow adds a graphic element. Tfs!

Namaste, my friend Angshuman,
you offer us a gorgeous mountain landscape here, where we can admire its wild beauty, but we can see also the white spot of the monastery in the down left corner of your framing.
As usual in your works, the image quality, the colors, and the lighting are excellent.
A superb composition.
Best wishes,
Josep
PS: yes, the mixture of a lack of motivation, my summer holidays, and the preparation of our retirement, have created a low activity on the site. But this is a temporary fact.

I was in some Gelugpa (Yellow Hat)monastery while visiting Tibet, but here half hidden in the imposing mountains is quite an eye catching view contrasting well with the sky
Like the well placed shadow of the cloud
Well done regards
