This traditional wall painting or precisely Mewar painting style is common in Udaipur - an integral part of the region𠏋 identity where many of these artworks can be found not only in the palaces, havelis and houses but also on the streets of town. The themes normally revolve around paintings of war elephants, sceneries, horses, tigers and soldiers from ancient times...

This was captured at local house on a shaded alley with clear description in Hindi, adorning the wall with quite intricate handpainted mural in bold colours along with the fierce looking tiger!

Two beautiful pictures with these bright coloured murals with the traditional animal like the tiger and the elephant and the characteristic design of the flowers.
It makes the alley much more attractive than one with a grey wall.

There are many beautiful traditional wall painting in Udaipur. You have found here nice example with the lotus flowers. Interesting narrow street. Is the woman sitting there? She looks a bit strange. Nice picture.

I like complimentary opposite colours used on the wall painting of pink & blue. The bg tiger and the workshop elephant are also good pieces of art decorating negative space. Tfs!
