Keeping the tradition alive.......

This traditional wall painting or precisely Mewar painting style is common in Udaipur - an integral part of the regions identity where many of these artworks can be found not only in the palaces, havelis and houses but also on the streets of town. The themes normally revolve around paintings of war elephants, sceneries, horses, tigers and soldiers from ancient times...

This was captured at local house on a shaded alley with clear description in Hindi, adorning the wall with quite intricate handpainted mural in bold colours along with the fierce looking tiger!
