a lady from Moti bagh is preparing the dinner for people in the house.. as you can see she is cooking chapati here.. (a kind of unleavened 'pita bread'..)

This is what I consider a classic picture, Evren. This is the typical traditional Indian kitchen in use in thousands of villages and smaller towns all over the country.
The image is absolutely perfect in terms of ambience. One couldn't think of a better use of ambient light than you have made.
The lady in command of things inside this kitchen presents a prototypical portrait of an ordinary rural/semi-urban marginally literate or totally illiterate Indian woman. A warm and guile-less smile plays on her simple face; I'm sure she must have proved to be a good hostess for you.
Thanks for sharing this great image. I thank you for making me proud as an Indian.
Points: 10/10 for originality; 20/10 for aesthetics; 100/10 for technical excellence as a photographer.

Fine quality again at 3200 ISO, Evren. The fire below the small oven emits a beautiful warming glow, and the light also works well to just accentuate the details of the woman's face and the simple interior that you would want to have for the homely feel of this type of scene. Greetings from Kobe.

A beautiful, classy shot, Evren, and also very warm, as one would expect from India... this Moti bagh night is different from the former ones in that you close up on this lady, and show her in her chapati making. Very nice, harmonious composition. The green and the blue together are really wonderful behind that omnipresent little votive light...

Another great shot. This time much closer than all your other shots. It works really well i love the cool blues and greens against that warm glow of the fire. Superb exposure and another superb insight into daily life in India.

This is a great series, Evren, and this is one of the best in it. The soft glow from the fire, the woman's calm expression, the shine of the metal--it's like a Dutch painting transplanted to India. Really beautiful, great colors! Regards, Ken.

I meant to comment on this one earlier. I think this is a really nice composition and a nice expression on her face too. I wonder if your choice of WB was best; her skin seems a little grey. Remarkably sharp for such a long shutter time, the IS was doing its job for certain. Very nice shot.

Chapati - oh nice, Evren - I love those "kitchen-moments". I like the colour of the wall - it has a good contrast to the other more natural colours. Nice light from the fire and from outside but most of all I like all the small kitchen details.
