Returning to the Durga Puja theme...

This idol in terracotta (baked clay) is modeled on a painting by a famous Bengali artist. Hence the idol is not traditional, rather it has a painting feel. It’s almost two dimensional (with a small third dimension), etched on the baked clay and hung on the wall. The priest was readying for the Puja...the clay lamp was already lit, and he is using the sticks to light up the pyre (Pls. check the WS for this item). I tried a couple of shots with the priest & the lamp in the frame.
