Photographer's Note

In Rocky Island near Samsing, there is a home for destitute children named as 'Sishu Bikaash Kendra'. Far from the den and bustle of city life, the children are growing up in the lap of mother nature with the green mountains in the backdrop and the mighty river Murti flowing beside the premises.

When I met with this group of children they were going out for collecting woods from the adjascent jungle. They were bubbling with joy and smile as they stood infront of the camera!

Hello Avishek,
I have been through your gallery and appreciate the way you show us daily life in this great country. I love the smile of these 2 kids on the right and I think it would have been good to centrate on them. I am proposing you workshop with a a quick cropping and level adjustments just to show you what I had in mind. Hope you willl like the idea.

Hi Avishek, I love this photo and the beautiful smiles of those boys, the colours are splendid... But I don't understand the note : are those children really destitute, taken care by an organisation (and on a tour to the countryside ?) Or on the contrary, are those children living in the neighbourhood and by "destitute", you meant that they were coming from poor families ? I feel very curious and would be happy to read your reply !
Otherwise, it's a very friendly photo - the BG is a bit overexposed, those technical details don't bother me too much -

What a great daily life image of the children in India. Very well captured of the moment, very innocent and fun spirited. Good quality, good clarity and sharp, good composition, nice serene forest backdrop to complement the overall image.
